Charles Buttigieg, a 22 year old Baritone from Gozo, started singing at a very early age and joined the Chorus Urbanus under the direction of Mro John Galea in 2011
Charles Buttigieg has performed with Malta's most distinct tenor Joseph Calleja as well as Ms Diana Damrau, Renee Fleming, Dolores Zajick just to name a few
His voice has been compared with the legendary Dmitri Hvorostovsky

Since his early young age, he has been studying Voice with renowned
Ms Juliette Bisazza preparing Charles
as a soloist to perform in various concerts including one for the President of Malta
Joseph Calleja, Malta most famous tenor, invited him in 2019 to sing at his Christmas
concert for the Patrons of the “BOV
Joseph Calleja Foundation” as well as to sing with him at the Teatru Manoel
A scholarship was awarded by the BOV Joseph Calleja Foundation, enabling him to continue his vocal studies and education
He auditioned for the prestitigous Curtis School of Music in Philadephie and became the very first Maltese/Gozitan to be accepted
